Why a prominent Miami Beach real estate family just invested $2M in Lake Worth Beach

Why a prominent Miami Beach real estate family just invested $2M in Lake Worth Beach

Two brothers from a well-known Miami Beach real estate family are betting on a turnaround in downtown Lake Worth Beach. Josh and Jared Robins paid $2.025 million in late April to purchase a vacant 7,500-square-foot building at 716 Lake Ave., directly across from the Lake Worth Playhouse.

The deal marks the brothers' first investment in the area. Until recently, they had never even visited Lake Worth Beach. The building has been closed for some time, and the Robins brothers plan to renovate the property before finding a new tenant. They have not yet announced specific plans for the space, but the location in the city's main commercial corridor suggests retail or restaurant use.

The purchase signals growing interest from South Florida investors in Lake Worth Beach, a city that has seen steady redevelopment but still offers lower property prices than Miami Beach or Fort Lauderdale. The Robins family has been active in Miami Beach real estate for decades, and this move into Palm Beach County shows they see potential in the area's downtown revival.
