Weidner sells Lynnwood apartment complex for $112 million to Bay Area investor

Weidner sells Lynnwood apartment complex for $112 million to Bay Area investor

A large apartment complex in Lynnwood has changed hands in a deal valued at $112 million. The seller, Weidner Apartment Homes, unloaded the property to Pacific Urban Investors, a real estate firm based in the Bay Area. The transaction highlights continued interest from out-of-state buyers in the Seattle suburbs, even as the broader market faces higher interest rates and shifting demand.

The complex, located near the Lynnwood Transit Center, includes several hundred units and offers amenities typical of newer suburban developments. Weidner, a major landlord in the Pacific Northwest, had owned the property for several years. The sale price works out to roughly $400,000 per unit, a figure that aligns with recent comparable sales in Snohomish County.

Pacific Urban Investors focuses on acquiring apartment communities in high-growth West Coast markets. This purchase expands their footprint north of Seattle, where job growth and limited supply have kept rents relatively stable. The deal closed in late March and was recorded in county property records this week. Neither party disclosed any immediate plans for renovations or changes to management.
