Rutland County Property Sales Reported for Late August and Early September

Several property transfers were recorded across Rutland County between Aug. 31 and Sept. 9, covering residential and commercial deals in Rutland City, Fair Haven, Pittsford and other communities.

In Rutland City, a multi unit building on State Street changed hands, with the buyer planning to keep it as rental housing. A single family home on Grove Street also sold after less than a month on the market, according to filings with the town clerk.

Fair Haven saw a pair of sales near the village center, including a renovated cape style house and a smaller ranch property. In Pittsford, a parcel of land along Route 7 was purchased by a local contractor who intends to use it for equipment storage.

Other transactions were logged in Brandon, Castleton and West Rutland. Prices ranged from roughly 85,000 dollars for a vacant lot to more than 400,000 dollars for a lakefront style property with frontage near Bomoseen.

Agents involved in the deals described steady interest from both in state buyers and people relocating from outside Vermont. Inventory remains tight in the county, which has kept prices from falling even as mortgage rates stay elevated.

The sales were recorded with the Rutland County clerk's office during the stated period.
