Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP confirmed Wednesday that it has strengthened its data center practice by bringing on two Dallas-based attorneys from Stutzman Bromberg Esserman & Plifka PC, a Texas regional firm. The move signals continued demand for legal expertise tied to the rapid buildout of digital infrastructure across the state.
The hires arrive as data center development accelerates in Texas, driven by cloud computing, artificial intelligence and streaming services. Dallas has become a central hub for these projects, with developers navigating complex issues around land use, energy contracts, construction and financing. Law firms are competing to assemble teams that understand both the technical and regulatory sides of the sector.
Gibson Dunn's expansion reflects a broader trend among national firms seeking to capture work from technology companies, utilities and investors pouring money into server farms and related facilities. The two attorneys bring regional relationships and transaction experience that could help the firm serve clients across the Southwest.
The firm did not disclose financial terms of the move. Representatives from Stutzman Bromberg did not immediately comment on the departures. The additions take effect as data center leasing and construction activity remain strong in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, one of the largest markets in the country for such projects.
