Freedom Real Estate has landed on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America for the seventh time. The latest ranking comes after the firm posted a 62% revenue increase over a three-year period, a pace that puts it in the top tier of real estate brokerages nationwide.
The company, which operates across multiple states, credits its employee-ownership structure for the sustained momentum. Unlike traditional brokerages where agents work on commission under a corporate umbrella, Freedom Real Estate gives every team member an actual ownership stake. That model, the firm says, aligns incentives and keeps people focused on long-term client relationships rather than short-term transactions.
"We do not chase volume for volume's sake," said a company spokesperson. "Our growth has come from repeat clients and referrals, which only happens when people trust you with one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives."
The Inc. 5000 list is compiled from self-reported data and ranks companies by percentage revenue growth. Making the list seven times puts Freedom Real Estate in a small group of firms that have shown consistency over more than a decade, especially in a housing market that has swung from boom to slowdown and back again.
The company also points to its flat-fee listing model as a differentiator. Instead of taking a percentage of the sale price, it charges a set fee, which can save sellers thousands of dollars. That approach has gained traction as home prices have climbed, making percentage-based commissions more expensive for sellers.
Looking ahead, Freedom Real Estate plans to expand into new markets and continue hiring agents who want a stake in the business rather than just a desk. The Inc. recognition, the company says, is validation that the model works, but the real measure is the number of clients who come back for a second or third transaction.
